Text Box: On Sunday, May 7, 2006, Christ Congregational Church, 9525 Colesville Rd., Silver Spring, MD., #301-585-8010, will be hosting an environmental service and fair. The service begins at 10:30 A.M. and features Mike Tidwell, Executive Director of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network and internationally-known expert on the issue of global warming, as the speaker. After the service, there will be an environmental fair in the basement social hall and displays of alternative energy vehicles (including electric, biodiesel, and human) in the parking lot from 11:45 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. in the parking lot. THE PUBLIC IS INVITED to either or both of these events. FREE: Refreshments, Activities and Crafts for children, of environmental video, compost bins, tote bags; and MORE! There will also be demonstrations and materials for alternative energy products, rain barrels, water gardens, recycling, alternatives to toxic material use in the home and garden, fair trade coffee and tea sale, and MORE!
