Lay Leaders

Christ Congregational Church is governed by its Constitution and by-laws. The Executive Council is the general body that oversees the church and its work. Comprised of the ministerial staff, Director of Music, Chairs of the Boards, Clerk of the Rolls, Treasurer, Moderator-Elect, Financial Secretary, Past-Moderator, youth member, Communications Officer and three at-large members, it is convened by the Moderator who is the lay leader of the church. The Moderator and Chairs of the Boards are elected at the annual meeting of the congregation each June. The Executive Council meets once a month. View the Executive Council meeting minutes here.

The Boards and Committees contribute time and effort to particular areas of church work. Boards meet one time a month and deal with general responsibilities over some aspect of church life. Members agree to serve three-year terms. Committees are narrower in focus; members serve as needed. Our congregational goal is to have every member feel a part of the work and mission of the church.

CCC encourages its members to share their time and talent as well as their treasure with the church. The church thrives through the support of its members. You may not be available to serve on a Board, but there might be other activities that are of interest to you. If so, please contact the church office.
